Recognition of Independence of Ukraine by the Republic of Korea on December 30, 1991 and signing the Communique on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea on February 10, 1992 launched a political dialogue between the two countries.
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Ukraine was opened in November 1992.
The Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Korea was opened in October 1997. Office of the Ukrainian Embassy was located in the Diplomatic Centre building in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
In December 2002 - January 2015 the Embassy of Ukraine was located in the separate building at 51 Jangmun-ro (1-97 Dongbinggo-dong), Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
From January 30, 2015 the Embassy of Ukraine is located at 21 Itaewon-ro 45-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
