The 10th Seoul International Music Competition takes place from 18 to 30 of March. The main organizers are Seoul Metropolitan Government and one of the prestigious newspapers in the Republic of Korea Dong A Ilbo.
The competition is held annually for piano, violin and voice, in a rotating sequence. In 2014 – it is for piano. Musicians from the Republic of Korea, USA, Japan, China, Georgia, Italy, Croatia and other countries participate in this year’s competition.
Ukraine is presented at the contest by two pianists – Kseniya Vokhmianina, graduate from the Kharkiv State University of Arts named after Ivan Kotliarevskiy and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Singapore), and also Artem Yasynskiy, who graduated from the Donetsk State Academy of Music named after Serhii Prokofiev.
Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Korea Vasyl Marmazov visited the opening ceremony of the contest and wished inspiration and success to competitioners.
