With the assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Korea the delegation of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, headed by the President Andriy Serdyuk, took part in the Korea-Ukraine joint workshop on radiation emergency medicine, which was held in the Korean Institute of Radiological and Medical Science.During the meeting the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding. In the framework of this MoU the mutually beneficial collaboration will be started, particularly for the protection of the population from the consequences of nuclear accidents, prevention and treatment of diseases caused by radiation, the development of techniques using low doses of radiation for treatment.
