On October 29, 2019, representatives of Antonov State Enterprise and the Embassy participated in the international conference «Fostering Aviation Industry of South Korea». During the speech at the conference, Deputy Chief Designer of Antonov State Enterprise S.Fedorov presented the current opportunities, promising directions and advantages of international cooperation in the field of aviation between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea.
On October 30, 2019, during a working visit to Korea Aerospace Valley (KAV), Gyeongnam discussed the potential of attracting Ukrainian aviation companies to participate in projects in the Republic of Korea.
Korea Aerospace Valley (KAV) created by the Government of the Republic of Korea since 2016 is a part of the national aerospace complex of Korea. KAV expansion budget to 2021 - $ 700 million. The Valley includes leading companies such as Korea Aerospace Industries LTD, Hanwha Aerospace and 100 other businesses).
Productive meetings were also held with the management of Korea Aerospace Industries LTD (KAI), Gyeongnam Technopark Aerocpace Center and several others.
During the meetings, the potential of cooperation with the Antonov SE, having a 70-year history when over 100 types of aircraft and their modifications and 22,000 aircraft built, were shown to the Korean partners. Emphasis was placed on the capabilities of new types of aircraft An-188, An-77, An-132, An-178T, An-158, An-148. The potential of Antonov SE for the creation of combat UAVs was presented. The transport potential of Antonov Airlines, which provides unique air transport services using the largest serial cargo planes An-124 Ruslan and the largest in the world with a capacity of 250 tons An-225 Mriya, was mentioned.
