Screenings of Ukrainian films at Gwangju Biennale

On May 21, we opened the Ukrainian Pavilion at 14th Gwangju Biennale in Gwangju city which is the cradle of Korean democracy. Ukraine participates in the Biennale for the first time.
We present three Ukrainian films - “Mariupol. Unlost Hope” by Max Lytvynov, “Toloka” by Mihaylo Іllienko, “Carol of the Bells” by Olesya Morgunets-Isaenko.
Documentary “Mariupol. Unlost Hope” with the stories from eyewitnesses of russia’s crimes in Mariupol is a Korean premier.
Screenings will be held every Saturday until July 9 at the biggest cultural institution in Asia - Asia Culture Center (Theatre 3). Admission is free. English and Korean subtitles available.
While russia attempts to destroy our cultural heritage, many Ukrainian filmmakers and actors continue creating in Ukraine, introducing our country to the world.
