On February 23, to commemorate two years since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, we presented a documentary and a photo exhibition within the “Culture vs war" project.
The project is created by the "Watch Ukrainian!" Association with the financial assistance of the European Union, “MHP-Hromada” Foundation and “Babylon” company.
The documentary tells the stories of Ukrainian cultural figures who joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or are actively engaged in volunteer activities.
The photo exhibition displayed works by military photographers Konstantin and Vlada Liberov and Serhii Mykhalchuk, a cameraman serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ambassadors and diplomats from more than 26 foreign diplomatic missions to the Republic of Korea, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Korean businesses, humanitarian organizations, cultural and media community attended the event.
Ambassador of Ukraine
Dmytro Ponomarenko in his opening remarks expressed gratitude to partners for supporting Ukraine and urged to remain committed to the common cause of defending freedom from tyranny.
The Ambassadors of the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States of America to the Republic of Korea expressed solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
We are sincerely grateful to our partners in Ukraine and Seoul Art Cinema for the organizational support of the event, to the event’s sponsor - the "Korea-Ukraine New Building" Association, as well as to all those standing with Ukraine in this difficult time.
