The "Ukrainian bookshelf" was opened in Seoul Metropolitan Library

On September 26, 2022, Ambassador of Ukraine Dmytro Ponomarenko together with his spouse Oksana Ponomarenko and the Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Library Ms. Oh Ji Eun officially opened the “Ukrainian bookshelf”.
The project is realized under the patronage of the First Lady of Ukraine O. Zelenska. The “Ukrainian bookshelves” have already been opened in Austria, Latvia, the Netherlands, France, Turkiye and Sweden. And now it is in the heart of Seoul.
The selection of books presented in the Seoul Metropolitan Library include those on history, culture, tradition, cuisine and tourist locations of Ukraine as well as children's literature in Ukrainian, Korean and English.
A permanent stand with traditional Ukrainian items, including boxes painted in traditional Petrykivka style and Motanka dolls, was also set up for the library’s visitors.
