On February 21, to commemorate the third anniversary of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in partnership with the British Embassy in Seoul we presented a documentary “After the Rain: Putin’s Stolen Children Come Home”.
This moving documentary tells the story of healing through animal therapy of 7-year-old Sasha and 14-year-old Veronika, Ukrainian children abducted by russia.
The film, rich of compassion, provides fresh insight into the heartbreaking human cost of the invasion and the resilience of the Ukrainian people.
The director Ms.
Sarah McCarthy, travelled to Seoul to personally share the horrific reality of Ukrainian children.
Guests of the event also had the opportunity to view the children's art exhibition "CryOnes”, prepared by the NGO “Gen.Ukrainian”. The art was created during the healing war trauma therapy.
Ambassadors and diplomats from over 37 foreign missions in the Republic of Korea, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Korean business, humanitarian organizations, cultural and media community came to support Ukraine.

Dmytro Ponomarenko expressed gratitude to the partners for their support and called for increased efforts to bring back all illegally deported Ukrainian children. He emphasized that russia continues its war of attrition, but Ukraine is determined to continue its fight for freedom.
Ambassadors of the
European Union and the United Kingdom also expressed solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
