On September 11, the Ambassador of Ukraine Dmytro Ponomarenko held a meeting with the President of the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Park Jeong-Woon. 

The Ambassador expressed gratitude to the leadership of the University and the Department of Ukrainian Studies for the continuous support of the academic research on Ukraine over many years and encouragement of Korean students to learn about Ukrainian culture, history and language. He also presented the opportunities and formats of participation in the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies launched by Ukraine’s Government in July this year, and invited to join the initiative. Dr.Park Jeong-Woon supported the initiative, and Professor Hong Sogu confirmed his participation in the inaugural online meeting scheduled for September 16. 

The sides also discussed the expansion of academic exchanges with Ukraine’s higher education institutions and joint events, including organisation of lectures and forums for University’s students and academia.
