The development of trade-economic relations is a priority of cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea. It was stated by the President at the meeting with Speaker of the National Assembly of South Korea Kang Chang-hee.

“The priority of our cooperation is trade-economic relations, particularly deepening of investment collaboration,” the Head of State said at the beginning of the meeting.

Viktor Yanukovych expressed hope that the activity of the working groups established in the Parliaments of the two states would contribute to that. “I expect that the friendly groups established in the Parliaments of our countries will further contribute to the expansion of Ukrainian-Korean cooperation,” the President noted.

According to Viktor Yanukovych, the development of comprehensive cooperation with countries of Eastern Asia is an important component of Ukrainian foreign policy.

The Head of State approved the readiness of Ukrainian party to welcome President of the Republic of Korea Park Geun-hye on an official visit to Ukraine.
