Ambassador of Ukraine Vasyl Marmazov met with Ha Tae-youk, Director-General of the European Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.
During the meeting he informed Korean side about the latest domestic developments in Ukraine, including in Crimea peninsula, and handed a copy of the Address of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (parliament) to the Guarantor States pursuant to the Memorandum on Security Assurances in connection with Ukraine's accession to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
Director-General of the European Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Ha Tae-youk informed that the Korean side closely watching the political developments in Ukraine. Taking into account the high level of relations between the two countries and residence of the large number of the ethnic Koreans in Ukraine he expressed concern over the recent developments in Crimea.
During the meeting, Ha Tae-youk informed that ROK Ambassador to the UN in his speech on February 28, within the UN Security Council meeting on the situation in Ukraine, stressed the need to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
