On September 18, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin met Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Lee Seok Hyun.
The Sides paid special attention to the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea, as well as the liberalization of the visa regime.
President of the Korea-Ukraine Parliamentary Friendship Association of the National Assembly Cho Jeong Sik, who also participated in the meeting, emphasized the high level of support that Ukraine enjoys in the Korean Parliament.
International security issues and topical issues of the global agenda were also discussed. The Korean side highly appreciated contribution of Ukraine to ensuring global nuclear security, noting Ukraine's voluntary abandonment of one of the world's largest stockpiles of nuclear weapons.
