On March 19-20, 2018 H.E. Olexander Horin, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Korea took part in the international seminar «Northern Economic Policy 2.0, Forming Peaceful and Prosperous Norther Economic Community».

The international seminar was organized by the Presidential Committee on Northern Economic Cooperation and Korea Institute for International Economic Policy

Speaking during the conference Ambassador of Ukraine pointed out that we see the Moon Jae-in administration’s New Northern Economic Cooperation Policy as a new measure within a broader policy of finding a new growth engines for the economy of the Republic of Korea and establishing peace on the Korean Peninsula.

Cooperation with the Republic of Korea is very attractive for Ukraine as an alternative source of economic and financial power to promote recovery and economic modernization in our country. It is important to note that economic interest is core sentiment in our bilateral relations with no political strings attached.

The most promising fields for investment and joint projects can be found in agribusiness & agritech, aerospace & technology, IT, infrastructure, energy & alternative energy etc.

We consider that it will be fruitful to enhance level of relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea from the current cooperation level to the level of special partnership for mutually beneficial economic growth, prosperity and peace.
