Delegation of the National Council of Women of Ukraine visited Seoul on September 17-24 and participated in the 33rd General Assembly of the International Council of Women. Ukraine at the event was represented by eight delegates: Chairman of the National Council of Women of Ukraine L.Yakovlyeva, Vice Chairman L.Porohnyak-Hanovska and heads of six non-governmental women's organizations.

In general, the Assembly was attended by 307 delegates and 86 observers from 78 countries.

Within the framework of the Assembly Ukrainian delegation presented a report on the activities of the National Council of Women of Ukraine, and made a number of proposals to the resolutions adopted by the International Council of Women.

Ambassador of Ukraine Vasyl Marmazov met with a delegation of the National Council of Women of Ukraine during its stay in Seoul.
