Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Korea held a reception on the occasion of the 21st Anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine and the 20th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea.

Diplomatic reception attended Guest of Honor of the Government of the Republic of Korea, Ambassador for Energy and Resources of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Mr. Park Robyug, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Trade and Unification Committee of the National Assembly Mr. An Hong Joon, heads and staff members of the diplomatic missions accredited in the Republic of Korea, representatives of business circles, including POSCO E & C Vice-President Mr. Kim Dong Min and HYUNDAI CORPORATION Vice President Lee Sukyu, scientists of leading educational institutions, cultural and artistic elite, clergy, members of the Ukrainian community.

In his speech, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Korea Vasyl Marmazov highlighted the main achievements of Ukraine and the Republic of Korea in the development of bilateral relations over the past 20 years in political, trade and economic, scientific and technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres. He expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation will be actively developed and deepened in all areas of mutual interest.

The students of the Department of Ukrainian Studies of the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, famous Korean pop operatic tenor Im Hyung-Joo and pianist Kim Jin Ho performed during the event.

During the reception videos about Ukraine, its culture, customs and travel opportunities were shown.

Guests of the event also had possibility to enjoy the Ukrainian cuisine.
