The State Agency for Investment and National Projects of Ukraine in association with the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Korea and the Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry presented Ukrainian national investment projects in Seoul.

This presentation is a part of the road-show held by the State Agency for Investment and National Projects of Ukraine in the major world financial centers of Asia, the Middle East, USA and Europe.

The road-show is one of the integral components of the investment reform in Ukraine aimed at attracting direct foreign investments in Ukraine’s economy, shaping a positive investment image of Ukraine in the world as well as positioning Ukraine as a leading financial, political and business center of Eastern Europe.

In his speech, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Korea Vasyl Marmazov highlighted the main achievements of Ukraine and the Republic of Korea in the development of bilateral relations over the past 20 years in political, trade and economic, scientific and technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres. He expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation will be actively developed and deepened in all areas of mutual interest.

The road-show includes presentation of the National projects as follows: "LNG Terminal", "Clean City", "Warm Housing", "Technopolis" and "Industrial Parks".

The event was attended by more than 80 representatives of business circles of the Republic of Korea, interested in investing in Ukraine’s economy.

Among the participants of road-shows there were top-managers from leading Korean companies, in particular, KOGAS, Sаmsung, Daewoo International, POSCO, STX Corporation, Hyundai Corporation, Kcc E&C, Pullon Technology, SAMBU CONSTRUCTION CO., LTD, Samil, Price Waterhouse Coopers, DND COREA, DAEDONG INDUSTRIAL MACHINERY CO., LTD etc.

The “LNG Terminal” project (construction of a terminal for receiving and regasification of liquefied natural gas at the Ukraine’s Black Sea coast) was the most popular among potential South Korean investors.

Delegation of the State Agency for Investment and National Projects of Ukraine held meeting with the representatives of the Korean corporation «KOGAS» and «Daewoo International» which resulted by signing of the Agreement on implementation of the National Project «LNG-terminal».
