On July 19, the Ambassador of Ukraine Dmytro Ponomarenko with spouse Oksana Ponomarenko welcomed at the Embassy the “Mriya” (Dream) dance project team.
Named after the largest aircraft, which was destroyed by russian shelling in February this year, the team was formed by 40 Ukrainian youth in April aiming to restore the dreams of young Ukrainians affected by war.
Last month the dance team presented Ukraine at the World Culture Dance Festival at the Chonbuk National University Samsung Cultural Center in Jeoju city. We congratulate the Ukrainian performers for receiving the grand prize at the contest.
The team also performed in several other cities in Korea as well as at the International Youth Federation World Camp, the opening and closing ceremony of which in Busan and Seoul respectively was attended by more than 15,000 people each.
After coming back to Europe from Korea the team is planning to have a tour representing Ukraine in 40 cities of 32 countries.
We are grateful to the Chairman of “Ukrainian Youth Fellowship” Mr.Ryu Eyu Gyu as well as everyone involved in assisting Ukrainians to present our dance culture and unbreakable spirit.
We were honoured to spend time with you all and we wish you success in your further activities. Communication with such energetic and goal-oriented people gives us confidence in the future. We hope that soon peace will be restored in Ukraine and we will be able to fly again.
