On May 11, Ambassador of Ukraine
Dmytro Ponomarenko and his spouse Oksana Ponomarenko attended the opening ceremony of the Pyeongtaek International Children’s Art Exhibition.
This year, the exhibition displays the artworks of children under 13 years from 27 countries on the theme "Environment".
The ecological safety is one of the points of the peace plan proposed by the President of Ukraine. It is reflected in the drawings of children who took part in the project «Peace Formula in the Children’s Art”.
Ukrainian children are witnesses of the devastating consequences of russia's brutal war against Ukraine for ecology, so reflected in the artworks call to protect and preserve the environment for themselves and future generations became a powerful voice of hope in Pyeongtaek.
A competition of children's art was held within the International Exhibition, and a special prize from the Embassy of Ukraine for drawing "Peace Formula" was awarded to two winners. Their artworks will be displayed in the exhibitions of the International marathon of traveling exhibitions "Peace Formula in Children's Art".
We would not want Ukraine to be associated only with war, but also known for the outstanding and unique achievements linked to the country. So we also presented the special exhibition “50 Inventions Bestowed by Ukraine to the world”, illustrating the wide range of achievements in all spheres: from aerospace technology to breakthrough solutions in medicine, from flexible supercapacitors to professional motion picture equipment.
The works will be available for viewing at the Songtan International Exchange Center until June 5. We invite everyone to visit the exhibition.
