On August 9, 2025, Ukraine’s youth team successfully performed in the International Programming Robot Challenge (IPRC) held in Suwon. Ukrainian participants not only debuted in this prestigious international competition, but also became the first European team in the long history of the IPRC.

As a gesture of respect for the Ukrainian team, contestant Rostyslav Dolnyi was granted the privilege to participate in the official opening ceremony and recite the fair play oath on the main stage on behalf of all participants, alongside Mr. Young Suk Choi, IPRC President, and the CEO of the «Roborobo» company.

The Ukrainian team consisted of four pupils from Lviv and Cherkasy, who won the All-Ukrainian Robotics Olympiad in May 2025. All of them demonstrated a high level of technical skills and competed on equal terms with experienced teams from South Korea, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. As a result of the competition, the Ukrainians received special jury awards for professionalism, creativity, and teamwork.

Yurii Ulyanytskyi, the coach of the Ukrainian team and judge of international robotics competitions in Ukraine, said that the young developers gained unique experience, motivation, and new ideas. Moreover, they felt themselves a part of the global creative and technical community and networked with like-minded peers from different countries.

One of the results of the Ukrainian team's successful performance in Suwon was the decision of the organizing committee to hold the IPRC Ukraine national robotics competition in Ukraine in 2026. This event will be a significant step in the development of international cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea.
