On October 8, we had a meeting with the chief conductor of the Odesa National Philharmonic Orchestra, Hobart Earle, at the American Diplomacy Academy.
Ambassador
Dmytro Ponomarenko expressed his gratitude to Maestro for his dedication to Ukrainian musical community, which, despite Russia’s war, preserves Ukrainian cultural heritage and promotes it in the world.
In his presentation, Hobart Earle talked about lesser-known moments of Ukraine’s history, as well as how performers adapt to life in wartime and how music itself is transformed by the current situation.
We are grateful to Mr. Hobart Earle and our partners for their unwavering support of Ukraine and the opportunity to hear Ukrainian classical music in the Republic of Korea.
