On October 19, the Embassy, together with activists of the Ukrainian community in Korea, presented Ukraine at a cultural street festival organized by the Cultural Diplomacy Club. The event took place near the UNESCO World Heritage Site, which roots back to the Joseon Dynasty.
The visitors of Ukraine’s national booth had an opportunity to taste Ukrainian food and drinks while learning about the UNESCO cultural heritage in Ukraine, customs and traditional ornaments - “Petrykivka” and Crimean Tatar “Ornek”. They were also able to join a bracelet making workshop.
The composition by one of the founders of Ukrainian pop music Volodymyr Ivasyuk was performed by violinist Natalia Mylovanova at the opening ceremony.
We express our sincere gratitude to the organizers of the festival for their support, and the Korean people for their interest in the Ukrainian culture.
We also thank Khrystyna Maidanchuk, Ganna Kryzhanovska, Ivanilova Anastasia-Evelina, Valeria Nesterchuk and Olena Botvinnik for their active help and organisation of the booth.
