On July 13, at Asia Leadership Conference in Seoul a special panel on Ukraine was held. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal addressed the participants via video, calling on global leaders to play a more prominent role in the international community’s efforts to help Ukraine.
“We can stop this war, if we all put more pressure on the aggressor together. The best tool of pressure is sanctions. We need full embargo on trade with russia, closure of ports for russian vessels, complete withdrawal of international companies from the russian market," the Head of Ukraine’s Government emphasized.
The Governor of Mykolayiv region Vitality Kim also participated in the session via video. The discussion was attended by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Korea Dmytro Ponomarenko, members of Ukrainian Parliament Sehii Taruta and Andriy Nikolaienko.
Former member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, special envoy of the President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol to the WEF in Davos, Na Kyung-won gave a welcoming speech from the Korean side.
