In the framework of the visit of the Ukrainian government delegation to the Republic of Korea, headed by the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister for Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Mr. Stepan Kubiv, on April 23, 2018, the sixth Ukrainian-Korean Economic Business Forum was held in Seoul with participation of Ms. Nataliya Boyko, Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine for European Integration, Mr. Viktor Dovgan, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine on European integration, Mr. Volodymyr Lapa, Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Mr.Sergiy Savchuk, Head of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Savingof Ukraine, Mr. Iaroslav Gadzalo, Mykhailo Nepran, First Vice-President and Secretary General of Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, President of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine and other officials.
Addressing about 120 representatives of Korean companies, Mr. Kubiv assured that the Ukrainian government will make active efforts to facilitate the work of foreign investors in Ukraine.
During the forum, the leaders of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and other informed the Korean partners aboutthe current investment policy, available economic projects and prospects of investment in various sectors of the Ukrainian economy. Within the framework of the forum there were meetings of the heads of Ukrainian executive bodies with representatives of a row of Korean companies interested in cooperation with Ukraine.
The business forum is held on the eve of the 4th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Korean Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
