On June 5, “In the Rearview” documentary by Polish director Maciek Hamela was screened in Seoul at an event organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine.
This poignant film is more than just a chronicle of events, it is a deeply personal testimony of the loss, pain, and hope experienced by Ukrainians forced to flee the russia’s war. The film is based on the director’s own experience evacuating civilians from active combat zones.
From the very first scenes, the film immerses the viewer in a path marked by uncertainty, but also deep humanity and mutual support.
In his remarks, Ambassador of Ukraine
Dmytro Ponomarenko stated: “We are grateful that during the darkest hours, our friends and neighbors have extended their hands in unwavering solidarity.”
The event also featured the photo exhibition “The eyes of War”.
Our heartfelt thanks to the team at the
Polish Embassy in Seoul for organising this important event, and to all our partners for their steadfast support. For every Ukrainian, it means more than words can say.
